Ask any Malaysian which sport is closest to their heart, and badminton will almost certainly top the list. It's more than just a sport – it's a legacy, a source of pride, and a national identity. From the badminton courts in packed residential neighbourhoods to the grand stage of the Olympics, badminton has given Malaysia some of its most memorable moments in sporting history. At s99my, we celebrate the spirit of badminton by offering the most comprehensive and user-friendly badminton betting platform you'll find in Malaysia.
Every time Lee Zii Jia steps onto the court, every time the Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik pair go to battle on either side of the net, or every time women's doubles duo Pearly Tan and Thinaah Muralitharan take the court to defend the nation's honour – millions of Malaysians watch with hearts pounding. With s99my, that excitement goes up a notch when you have a personal stake in every point played.
Malaysia has a rich badminton tradition. From the golden era of the Sidek brothers in the 1980s and 1990s, who dominated world men's doubles, to the legendary Datuk Lee Chong Wei, who brought global recognition to Malaysia with three Olympic silver medals and spent 349 weeks ranked world number one — Malaysia has long been respected as a badminton powerhouse in Asia. That legacy lives on through a new generation, including Lee Zii Jia, who has proven that Malaysia can still compete at the very top, and the men's doubles pair Aaron Chia / Soh Wooi Yik, whose bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics filled the entire nation with pride.
At s99my, we do more than provide a platform to place bets – we understand the context and history behind every match. When Malaysia faces Indonesia in the Thomas Cup, it's not just numbers on a scoreboard. This is a rivalry between two Asian badminton powerhouses that stretches back over six decades, and every encounter carries a weight of history felt by players and fans on both sides. The odds we offer at s99my reflect a deep understanding of these dynamics.
One of the most popular features among badminton bettors at s99my is in-play betting. Badminton is an incredibly dynamic sport – a match can swing dramatically in just a handful of points. A player might be trailing 10-18 in the first set and still go on to win the entire match in three sets. With in-play betting at s99my, you can take advantage of these momentum shifts. When your favoured player is under pressure and their odds lengthen, that's often the best moment to get in at better value.
In-play badminton odds at s99my update in real time with every shift in momentum — when player A scores consecutive points, their odds shorten while their opponent's lengthen automatically. This gives attentive viewers an edge over bettors who only place wagers before the match. Knowledge of the game doesn't just make watching more enjoyable — it can be a genuine advantage when betting.
Few tournaments stir the emotions of Malaysians quite like the Thomas Cup and Uber Cup. These are the moments when the whole nation rallies behind the national team. At s99my, betting markets for the Thomas Cup and Uber Cup attract exceptionally high participation from Malaysian players – far exceeding any individual tournament. When Malaysia faces Indonesia or China in the knockout rounds, betting volume on s99my can more than double compared to a regular day.
At s99my, we offer a wide range of betting options for team championships – from predicting the overall winning team to placing bets on each individual tie between two nations. You can bet on who will win the overall tie, or go deeper by picking the winner of each rubber – whether it's the first MS, first MD, WS, second MD, or second MS.

A practical guide to help you make smarter betting decisions at s99my
In badminton, the head-to-head record between two players or pairs is one of the most telling indicators. Some players are psychologically more comfortable against certain opponents, even when ranked lower. Check the head-to-head stats at s99my before placing your bet.
Badminton players who compete in many consecutive matches over a long tournament will experience both physical and mental fatigue. If your preferred player has already fought through three tough matches in two days, that fatigue factor needs to be weighed in – especially for in-play betting at s99my.
Badminton is a game of momentum. When a player starts stringing points together and their opponent looks under pressure, the odds on the dominant player will shorten – that's your window to get in before the momentum shifts again. Watch the body language and tempo of play when using in-play betting at s99my.
We all take pride in Malaysian athletes and want them to win. But in betting, emotion is the enemy of sound analysis. Sometimes the odds on Malaysian players are compressed simply because a large number of local fans back them without objectively weighing up the match situation. Base your decisions on facts, not feelings – even on s99my.
